Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Overview

Plantaera Biotech LLC ("Company") is the data controller for personal information the Company independently collects and controls through the TissueCulture Pro website ("Website"), license fulfillment, support communications, and related customer-service workflows.

When you purchase through Stripe Managed Payments, Sold through Link, LLC ("Link") acts as merchant of record. Stripe and Link separately process and control information needed to provide checkout, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, receipt, invoice, dispute, refund, Link-account, and transaction-support services under their own terms and privacy notices. This Policy applies only to the personal information controlled by the Company.

This Privacy Policy does not make the Company the controller or processor of lab records stored only inside your self-hosted TissueCulture Pro installation.

2. Self-Hosted Software

TissueCulture Pro is self-hosted software installed on your infrastructure. The Software does not transmit telemetry, usage analytics, or operational data to the Company.

We do not collect, access, process, or store data entered into your installation. You are solely responsible for compliance with data protection laws relating to any personal data stored in your system.

If you voluntarily send us logs, screenshots, exports, backup files, diagnostic information, or other files for support or troubleshooting, those materials may contain information from your installation. We use those materials only for support, troubleshooting, security, legal, or service-administration purposes.

3. Sensitive Information

TissueCulture Pro is not designed or offered for storing protected health information, human medical records, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other regulated sensitive personal information unless you independently determine that your use is lawful and appropriate and you maintain all required safeguards. Do not send us sensitive personal information in support materials unless it is necessary for the support request and you are authorized to share it.

4. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Contact form submissions (name, email, organization, message)
  • Purchase, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and transaction information processed by Stripe and Link
  • License fulfillment records, such as customer name, business name, license delivery email, license tier, seat count, license ID, issue date, fulfillment status, and related Stripe reference information
  • Support, bug-report, or customer-service communications, including information you choose to send us
  • Optional newsletter or product-update signup information
  • Basic web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)

Payment-method information is processed directly by Stripe and Link. We do not store full payment card numbers. We receive only the transaction and customer information reasonably needed for license fulfillment, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, refunds, and customer support.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries
  • Process license purchases
  • Deliver software
  • Respond to support, license, documentation, and bug-report inquiries
  • Send important transactional or relationship notices about licenses, downloads, updates, security, legal terms, support, or product operation
  • Maintain records for legal and accounting purposes

We may send service notices to the license delivery email, checkout email, billing email, support email, or other contact information you provide. These service notices are separate from optional marketing communications.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

The Website may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies for basic site functionality, preferences, security, checkout, forms, or platform operations. Third-party services such as Stripe, Formspree, app marketplaces, hosting providers, or map providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

7. Third-Party Services

We use:

  • Stripe and Sold through Link, LLC (Managed Payments merchant-of-record, checkout, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, receipts, invoices, refunds, disputes, and transaction-support services)
  • Formspree (contact form processing)
  • Email, hosting, download, and infrastructure providers used to operate the Website, license fulfillment, customer downloads, and support communications
  • App marketplace or platform providers if you purchase, install, or update through a marketplace
  • Third-party mapping, tile, rendering, and map-data providers for certain Plant Locations map functionality

These providers operate under their own privacy policies. For more information about Stripe and Link's processing, see the Stripe Privacy Policy and the terms and notices presented or linked during checkout.

If you make a Managed Payments purchase, Stripe and Link process personal information needed to complete and document the transaction, provide a Link account or guest checkout, calculate covered taxes, send receipts and invoices, manage fraud and disputes, provide transaction support, and administer refunds. They may share transaction information with the Company for license fulfillment, support, accounting, legal compliance, and fraud prevention. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

A request submitted to Stripe or Link to delete Managed Payments or Link-account information is handled under their procedures and may delete related information from Stripe-hosted transaction objects. It does not automatically delete license, fulfillment, accounting, support, or legal records independently maintained by the Company where retention remains necessary or permitted by law. Requests concerning information controlled by the Company should be sent to the contacts below.

If you submit a contact form, the information you enter is transmitted to Formspree so it can deliver and process your inquiry on our behalf.

When Plant Locations or other map views load, third-party map services may receive technical request information needed to display the map, such as IP address, request headers, referring URL, timestamps, and the specific map resources or areas requested.

TissueCulture Pro basemaps may incorporate data from third-party map-data providers. We do not control how third-party map providers collect, use, retain, or share information received through those requests.

8. Legal Disclosures and Business Transfers

We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, court orders, government requests, tax or accounting obligations, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate security issues, or respond to disputes.

We may also disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, transfer of the Software business, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality or legal obligations.

9. Data Retention

Purchase, license fulfillment, and accounting records are retained as needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, license administration, and customer-service purposes.

Contact submissions, support communications, bug reports, and diagnostic materials are retained as needed for support, troubleshooting, security, legal, and business-record purposes unless deletion is requested and deletion is legally and operationally appropriate.

If you send us backup files, exports, screenshots, logs, or other support materials, you may request deletion after the support matter is resolved, subject to legal, security, accounting, and dispute-preservation needs.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold. California, New York, and other U.S. state residents may have additional rights under applicable privacy, consumer protection, or data-breach laws. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

11. Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

12. Children's Privacy

TissueCulture Pro and the Website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. International Users

Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where the Company, Stripe, Link, or other service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your location. Stripe and Link describe their international data practices and safeguards in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

14. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use customer contact or license information, we may also provide notice through the Website, license delivery email, checkout email, support email, or other contact information you provide.
